Following examples show how to use the styles on the App tab of the style palette, and the BITS XML that is produced for each style.

Appendix Titles, Text, and Headings

Appendixes should be styled using the distinct title, text, and heading paragraph styles.

<book-app-group>
<book-app id="aA">
<book-part-meta>
<title-group><label>Appendix A</label><title>Vegetation Classification System</title></title-group>
</book-part-meta>

Other text elements that appear in an appendix can be styled using the styles on the Body tab; e.g., lists. Many of these styles are conveniently available on the App tab of the palette.

Note that the eXtyles Cleanup process will not autostyle the appendix body text as Appendix Text. The Appendix Text style will need to be manually applied and must be used to ensure that the appendix text remains correctly with the appendix in the BITS XML.

Appendix References

References that belong to an appendix should be styled using the Appendix References Head. This will ensure that the reference list is included with the appendix in the BITS XML.
