The Back Tab

The Back Tab

The Back Tab of the eXtyles style palette includes paragraph styles that will be used to style content that will generally appear in the back of the document. 

Items in shaded cells in the following tables can be auto-styled by eXtyles if the appropriate option is selected in the Cleanup dialog. For more information, see the Cleanup documentation in the eXtyles User Guide.

Brepols (Journals)

Style NameDescription of Use
Appendix TitleUsed to style the title of an appendix at the end of an article in a journal.
Normal Text - No IndentUsed to style appendix text that is flush-left (i.e., no indent).
Normal Text - IndentUsed to style appendix text that contains a first-line indent.
Funding StatementUsed to style funding information that does not appear in a footnote.
Insert ImageUse to style text that is a placeholder for the typesetter; that is, an indication of the exact place where a table/illustration needs to be inserted (e.g., "Insert Map here"). This content is dropped from the XML.
Bibliography TitleUsed to style the title of a bibliography or reference section. Do not use Subtitle Level 1 for this.
Bibliography SubtitleUsed to style the subtitle of a bibliography or reference section. Do not use Subtitle Level 2 for this.
Bibliography ListingUsed to style the bibliography or reference content.
Bibliographic Listing w/White LineUsed to style the bibliography or reference content, and adds white space above the paragraph.
Non-XML TextUsed for text that needs to be in the Word document for the typesetter, but should not appear in the XML.

Appendix Group TitleUsed for a heading above a group of back-of-the-book appendices; for example, "Appendices"
Appendix TitleUsed to style the title of a specific appendix at the end of the book; for example, "Appendix 1: Title of the Appendix."
Normal Text - No IndentUsed to style appendix text that is flush-left (i.e., no indent).
Normal Text - IndentUsed to style appendix text that contains a first-line indent.
Funding StatementUsed to style funding information that does not appear in a footnote.

BM - Section TitleUse to style a heading of the back-matter section that is not covered elsewhere (e.g., Bibliographies, for which you would use BM - Bibliography Title).
BM - TextUse to style generic back matter text.
BM - Style SheetUse on style sheet content in the back matter.
BM - Photographic CreditsUse to style the credit for a photo or other image.
BM - List of FiguresUse to style the list of figures that appears in the back matter.
BM - List of PlatesUse to style the list of plates that appears in the back matter.
BM - List of MapsUse to style the list of maps that appears in the back matter.
