This page describes how to use the Equation style. This style is used for display equations that form one or more entire paragraph. It can be used irrespective of whether the equation contains only keyboard text or has been produced using Microsoft Equation 3.0, MathType or the Microsoft Equation Builder.


Equation

The Equation style is applied to equations that form one or more entire paragraph. It must not be applied as a character style to inline equations that form part of a larger paragraph. It can be applied to regular Word keyboard text, or to MathType, Equation 3.0 or Equation Builder objects. The XML output will depend on which export filter is used, and on whether the equation was typed from the keyboard or constructed with a math-editing package (in which case, an image and/or MathML of the equation may be produced).
