Cleanup Function

Use

Extract Equation Numbers

When this feature is checked, eXtyles can locate equation numbers that have been added inside Word Equation Builder objects and move them outside of the math object.

Only equation numbers placed after the equation, and which are the last content in the paragraph, will be moved by this functionality.

If Equation Builder objects have been used in your document and if your eXtyles setup matches references to equations during Citation Matching, this Cleanup function is necessary for Citation Matching to work correctly. If equation numbers are inside the Equation Builder math object, eXtyles Citation Matching will not be able to detect them and thus will not be able to apply the cite_eq character style to citations of equations.

Note

The "Extract Equation Numbers" function is unfortunately not able to move equation numbers that have been placed inside MathType or Word Equation 3.0 objects (i.e., equations inserted using the pre-Word 2007 equation editor). These should be extracted by hand if your configuration marks equation citations during Citation Matching.
