Depending on your organization’s configuration, Document Activation may also include the Get Metadata add-in.
This feature sends a query to your organization’s specified metadata web service, connects to the relevant database, and imports the correct metadata to your Document Information form. This information is also added to the exported XML and, depending on your editorial style, the title page.
How to use
To search for document metadata, fill in the search fields and click Get Metadata.
Warning: Do not edit metadata in the Update Document Information form. Such changes will only affect local records and not records in the database.
