may have sub-pages for the different types of auto-styling? (mainly depends on long this page gets)

Include a link to that webinar

Auto-Style is the section of Cleanup that can help you automate a lot of the formatting for your document.

There are 3 things that you have the option to auto-style in Cleanup:

  • Regular Body Paragraphs with Style

  • Tables

  • References

Check out our free webinar eXtyles Auto-Style: The (not so) secret weapon for speedy document processing to get all of our tips and tidbits about this section of Cleanup!

Regular Body Paragraphs with Style

This Cleanup feature converts all regular body paragraphs to the selected style from the drop-down box. It will not affect the local italic and boldface markup within the paragraphs.

Learn more about how eXtyles identifies regular body paragraphs here: Auto-Style Regular Body Paragraphs

Tables

This Cleanup feature automatically styles all tables that were created with the Word Table Editor with Table Head, Table Body, and Table Footnote paragraph styles

Table titles will be automatically styled even if they are outside of the table.

Learn about converting all tables to the Word Table Editor in the Reviewing your document section

References

This Cleanup feature automatically styles numbered reference lists or unnumbered reference lists that follow a heading such as “References” with the Reference paragraph style that is configured to your organization.

Documents that have a Name-Date citation style (i.e. unnumbered references) should have a section head (e.g. “References” or “Bibliography”) so that Cleanup can identify the content correctly. (See more →)
