Reference type tags

If eXtyles Bibliographic Reference Processing has not correctly identified a reference entry as the correct reference type (book <bok>, journal <jrn>, conference <conf>, standard <std>, etc.), you can use the Insert Tag menu to apply the appropriate tag.

Remove the incorrect tags from the start and end of the reference.
Highlight the entire reference paragraph.
Choose the appropriate reference type tag from the Insert Tag menu.

After applying the tag manually, you can add additional markup to the reference with Word character styles as necessary.

The safest way to remove reference type tags is to place your cursor immediately after the tag and use the Delete (backspace) key twice. this will first highlight and then delete the tag.
