List Styles
- Robin Dunford
The List tab of the eXtyles NLM style palette lists paragraph styles applied to lists, and also to glossary content. Documentation for these styles is organized into the following sections:
Numbered and Bulleted List Styles
eXtyles NLM supports up to four levels of numbered and bulleted lists. The export to XML automatically identifies what type of list it is based on the list labels, so there is no need for different styles for numbered, lettered, or bulleted lists. This page describes how the Numbered/Bullet list styles are used.
Continued List Item Styles
If a single list item consists of more than one paragraph, then the Continued List Item styles are required. This page describes how these styles are used.
Unnumbered List Style
An unnumbered list is a list of items that has no bullets or numbers associated with each item but is still semantically a list. This page gives an example of how this style is used.
List Title Style
If a list begins with a title (that is not a section heading), the List Title style should be used. This page describes how this style is used.
Definition List Style
This page describes how to use the Definition List style. This style is used in the body of the document for term-definition pairs, such as a list of definitions of terms used in an equation.
Glossary Styles
This page describes how to set up a glossary using the styles Glossary Head (Back), Glossary Section (Back) and Glossary Entry (Back). This content is exported to the back-matter section of the XML by default.
Details of the Non-XML Text style can be found on another page.
